My name is Florencia Hernandez I am a Graphic Designer and Photographer focused on storytelling, culture, and emotional connection.
I see design as more than visual communication; it’s a way of holding memory, expressing identity, and creating spaces where people feel seen. Every color, texture, and composition I choose is intentional, carrying meaning beyond the surface.
I earned my AAS in Graphic Communications from Salt Lake Community College and am currently completing my BFA in Graphic Design with a minor in Photography at the University of Utah. My academic and creative practice centers on blending design and image-making to tell honest, human stories.
Growing up between cultures shaped how I approach my work. It taught me that design can bridge worlds, evoke nostalgia, and honor lived experiences. Whether I’m building a brand, designing a book, or crafting a visual narrative, I aim to create work that feels authentic, culturally grounded, and full of heart.
Outside design, I draw inspiration from everyday beauty, photography, color, music, travel, fashion, makeup, thrifting, and collecting objects with history. These influences inform my visual language and reinforce my belief that creativity lives in both the ordinary and the intentional.
Through my portfolio, I share not only what I create, but why I create: to connect, to reflect, and to celebrate culture, identity, and the richness of human experience.
